The CWRS data used to run the reports in this website have been provided from each of the provinces using data from the Regional Variety Testing trials. Because the data for the years 2003 to the present were available on a plot-by-plot basis, statistical comparisons are possible. Data prior to 2003 is based on the mean of three replications on a location basis. Only variety average grain yield is reported. Registration trial grain yield data have been provided as the mean of three reps for each location of trialing.

Data for the agronomic traits have been taken from the three year of registration trials used to support the registration of a variety by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. The response of varieties to diseases is based on specialized disease nurseries conducted by plant pathologists. The interpretation of the data is provided by the pathologists of the Western Committee on Plant Diseases.
